Design Team
We offer stock and custom microphones and assemblies in all form factors and technologies to ensure exceptional vocal clarity and natural sound reproduction for your product.

We offer electret microphones in digital and analog formats with directive, omni, and noise-canceling options. Our integrated housings are engineered for acoustic excellence, even fitting within the tightest of industrial design constraints. Proprietary HARMAN technologies deliver unmatched performance:
  • μNoise: Elevates SNR to near pro-audio levels for superior clarity
  • μEMI: Wideband EMI suppression from 100 MHz to 4 GHz, blocking spurious RF energy
  • μWind: Reduces wind-induced noise by up to 10 dB compared to conventional components

HARMAN MEMS microphones deliver high performance in an ultra-compact package with improved reliability and intelligibility. Ideal for microphone arrays, they feature top and bottom ports, up to 65 dB SNR, and surface-mount technology for efficient production. Our Embedded Audio team provides expertise in microphone placement and DSP integration.

The world’s first commercially available directional MEMS microphone - our patented design significantly reduces acoustic coupling and echo. HARMAN Directional MEMS use an advanced acoustic design to achieve true directionality, delivering wide-band voice performance, greater industrial design flexibility, simpler system integration, and lower total system cost.

Directional MEMS types:

  • Noise-Cancelling Near Field (2.5–5 cm from the talker) for headset boom microphones
  • Cardioid Far Field (>50 cm from the talker) for TVs, soundbars, laptops, VOIP devices, wall-mounted cameras, and voice-activated assistants

Directional MEMS vs. Omni MEMS advantages:

  • Captures sound 40% closer to the desired source
  • Maintains better frequency response near large objects
  • Provides 3 dB SNR advantage over DSP-derived directional patterns using two omni-MEMS
  • Reduced MIPS requirements
